Learning 3.0?

  1. I read the slides and thought a little what was their message to me. Firstly, it’s exiting to wait and see what the future technology has to offer to us! However, I didn’t quite understand what the web 3.0 is about… your opinion? Maybe it on the one hand has to do with more intelligent way to gather together and present knowledge that has relevance to individual(?) And more equipment shall be connected intelligently to each other … what ever that shall mean in practice 🙂 From learning viewpoint I guess the point on part is that we have to be able to select and organize meaningful information so that we can understand it, use it and create new thoughts and applications based on it. Technology and the amount of information seems to develop really fast. However, we humans have limited cognitive ability. Life is also about other important things than knowledge like sitting on the shore watching quietly beautiful sunset with your best friend. I think technology should make us life easier and at times it seems it’s making it more complicated and busy and that doesn’t support too much to (deep) learning. What do you think … what could 3.0 learning mean with the help (or without) of technology?

    1. Heh, I thought it was a bit funny how it presented such an overly positive attitude to all those technologies, without any ideas on how these technologies actually would be helpful in learning 🙂
